The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is ready to roll out four new visa classifications starting on 10 August 2025 as part of its actions to entice world talent, assist upcoming industries, and promote tourism.
The visas are for Artificial Intelligence (AI) experts, event attendees, people in commercial gaming, and tourists landing by sea.
According to the report, the action is seen as a contribution to the UAE’s wider changes to simplify access for experts and skilled travelers and place itself as a world center for innovation, business, and tourism, following initial visa changes like the Golden Visa, Multiple-entry tourist permits, and green visas.
- ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) SKILLED VISA
The new AI Skilled visa aims at international professionals in the area of artificial intelligence. This multiple-entry visa allows visits of either 2 months or 3 months, with the feasibility of extensions to 120 or 180 days.

The United Arab Emirates intends to entice AI researchers, developers, and consultants who can add to federal creativity actions and operate on short-term technology tasks.
- UAE EVENT VISA
The Event Visa is intended for persons attending economic, religious, cultural, sports-linked, or academic events in the United Arab Emirates. The single-entry visa is authentic for 1 to 2 months, with a choice of extending to 120 or 180 days.
The visa will be beneficial to persons traveling to the United Arab Emirates for expos, conferences, ceremonies, or other arranged events across different industries, eliminating traditional access obstructions.
- VISA FOR COMMERCIAL GAMING EXERCISES
Surprisingly, the United Arab Emirates is also presenting a visa for persons involved in commercial gaming. Though the description of eligible gaming exercises is yet to be informed, the single-entry visa will allow a one-month stay and can be renewed once.
The visa is for persons operating in the gaming sector, including developers, operators, and investors investigating the United Arab Emirates’ prospective gaming market.
- CRUISE TOURIST AND LEISURE BOAT VISA
Maritime tourism is getting a promotion with a multiple-entry tourist visa tailored for people landing by cruise ships or leisure boats. The visa is authentic for one month, with a choice of an extra one-month extension.
TEMPORARY PAUSE OF FREELANCE VISAS
Contrary to the visa extension, United Arab Emirates’ authorities have provisionally paused new freelance visa requests, impacting remote employees and self-employed experts looking forward to migrating to the nation.
Although existing freelance visa holders can continue their permits, the provisional suspension raises questions concerning the future of the United Arab Emirates’ freelance job market.
